About Molly

As a Stanford-educated education policy researcher, I formerly conducted large-scale education research projects supported by notable funders such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In 2009, I founded Dappled Grey, a first-of-its-kind online guide to the equestrian lifestyle - swapping studies about schools and teachers for stories about saddles and tack - and never looked back!

As an equestrian with 30 years of experience in the English riding disciplines of Hunters, Equitation, and, more recently, Dressage, my work inherently offers an authentic and passionate rider and horse-owner’s perspective, complemented by a background in research/writing, an innate creative capacity, and expertise in communications and social media.

After Dappled Grey, I served as the editor of The Scout Guide Equestrian, producing a beautiful photographic guidebook and blog published by Virginia-based lifestyle publisher The Scout Guide.  My writing has also appeared in Equestrian Quarterly (now Equestrian Living) and Horse & Style magazines.

For projects and assignments large and small, I combine excellent strategic knowledge of the equestrian lifestyle market with proven effectiveness in story-based marketing for web and print publications.
