We scour the Internet, work directly with brands and retailers, and seek out independent designers to bring our readers all the latest, fabulous must-have’s and must do’s for the English equestrian.
The current equestrian trends? Check. The inside deals? Check. Style and decor inspiration? Check.
Our international audience is heavy on the horsey-set, but Dappled Grey is definitely not your typical horse blog. We’re all about curating our finds so you only get the good stuff. (“Edit!” as Tim Gunn would say).
And if you’re not an equestrian? Dappled Grey welcomes you, too. We know plenty of our readers don’t ride or own horses, but still appreciate and enjoy equestrian style. (And we can’t say we blame you!)

About Our Editor
Dappled Grey is curated and written by Molly Knott, a thirty-something equestrian with many years of experience in the English riding disciplines of Hunters, Equitation, and, more recently, Dressage.
As a Stanford-educated education policy researcher, Molly conducted large scale research projects on innovative schools and teacher labor markets. In 2009, she swapped research and writing about schools and teachers for stories about saddles and tack – and has never looked back as Dappled Grey has developed into a first-of-its-kind online guide to the English equestrian lifestyle.
Like many of Dappled Grey’s readers, a lifelong passion for horses and riding influences every aspect of Molly’s life and what you see on Dappled Grey is a direct, editorial representation of her personal style and interests.
Not every aspect of the equestrian lifestyle is glamorous and luxurious. Truth be told, it’s a ton of hard work. The trick is never losing sight of what’s at it’s core – the magnificence of the horse. Dappled Grey is meant to be a fun, celebratory look at the styles and culture that spring from this inspiring core.
