So begins the 45 minute documentary film “Hearts & Crafts,” a poetic and aesthetically rich ode to the craftsmen and women who make the beautiful Hermes’ products. Filled with workshop scenes that could have inspired the set of “Hugo,” Hermes tells the stories of the people who carve and stitch saddles, hand-dye scarves, sculpt leather handbags, and metalsmith ionic jewelry pieces. The end result of the film is gorgeous and inspired- just like the items they create.
