With all the focus on the fashion and frenzy of the royal wedding, we were thrilled to find this equestrian’s-eye view of the preparations going on within the Royal Mews – the Queen’s official stable yard.
According to Colonel Toby Browne, Royal Equerry, the horses and the staff will be getting a very early start, working some of the greener carriage horses in advance of the procession before they all get “groomed within an inch of their life.” LOL!
Have a look around the yard as Colonel Brown and Head Coachman Mark Hargreaves describe their preparations with the Windsor Greys and Cleveland Bays of the Royal Mews. You’ll sense the magnitude and pressure of the planning as London’s royal stables meticulously prepare for the world stage. The wild card?? “You can’t guarantee horses,” says Hargreaves.
Hear, hear!

I just cannot help myself from being interested in the Royal Wedding. Of course, we don't have to get up so early since we have eyes for the horses. I've been researching them and writing about them too.
