Dansko Scout Ankle Boot

It might surprise you to know that, while a voracious shopper, we’re actually quite conservative when it comes to our clothing and equipment purchases. We’re much more likely to plot and pine for our next purchase for months than ever buy anything on impulse.

So it was quite surprising when we recently walked out of our local clog shop having made a dead-on definitive decision about these boots in about 10 minutes.

Sure, they’re Dansko’s, so we already knew we were going to love the fit. And that they would take a beating and only gain more character with age.

But I think what immediately attracted us to the Dansko Women’s Scout Ankle BootDansko Scout boot was it’s resemblance to the awesome Dansko paddock boots that so sadly went out of production several years ago. (If you remember these boots, we know you mourned the loss of them too!)

The Scout is admittedly for pleasure, not work, but this boot has just enough “paddock” in it to be welcome anywhere equestrian. The fit is, just like your favorite clogs, allows for lift in the heel and the arched footbed is already starting to conform to our foot after just a few wears. Like any Dansko, our posture improved the minute we put them on.

We bought the brown, but the black is lovely too.
