Equestrian style was on display in spades at the WEG, probably no more so than during the Games’ showjumping days. The calling card of the fashionable showjumping fan? A Louis Vuitton bag, of course.
And if the brown and gold reigned stylishly during showjumping, it was a similarly-hued icon – you guessed it, Dubarry boots! – that was the favored fashion for the eventing crowd.
As for dressage, the talk of the tack room was triple gold medal rider Edward Gal swapping his signature grey jacket, designed by couturier Mart Visser, for a more traditional, FEI-friendly black coat.
So, what else stood out? Let’s see…
The North American debut of Italian equestrian fashion brand ANIMO.
Saratoga Saddlery received the nod from many as the go-to, gotta have it booth. We agree – their buyers have a gift!
Designers Sheryl Rudolph of FITS and Mollie Wolfe of Jumpline Designs, together at WEG all the way from Oregon, got the nod as a “favorite booth” from Purina’s “Live at Lexington” blogger Nina Akerley.
And the folks at La Mundial Boots have their work cut out for them after doing what those of us out west call a “land-office business” at WEG. We broke the news on these beautiful, affordable custom boots way back when and the word is definitely out!

Saratoga Saddlery is definitely a "destination" for fashion-conscious equestrians. I appreciated seeing their booth at the trade show. I've also been so lucky to be able to browse in their shop in Saratoga Springs. Lovely, lovely things. Alas, I am saddled with a plus-sized body and a petite-sized budget. ;) C'est la vie, y'all. Ya know? ;)
