Equitrekking Travel
Equestrian travel media-pioneer Darley Newman, producer and host of the Emmy award-winning PBS series Equitrekking, has recently launched Equitrekking Travel, an online service for planning equestrian-oriented trips worldwide.
If you've seen the show and wondered about going on one of the featured trips yourself, then Equitrekking Travel is for you. We love it as a jumping off point for researching trip ideas - through Darley's travel journals and photo galleries - as well as finding hot deals on trips to some of our dream destinations.
Equitrekking Travel's website sorts the trips by a wide variety of smart and useful categories, from trips that will earn you "Bragging Rights" to itineraries best suited to "Beginning Riders" and the "Budget Conscious." Travelers booking trips through Equitrekking's preferred travel agent will receive a custom itinerary and planning pack, an Equitrekking DVD set and hat, and a free one-year subscription to the EquiSearch publication of their choice. Very cool!
We used to think that Internet shopping for horse and riding wear was our primary weakness, but thanks to Equitrekking Travel, we now have another online distraction. We agree with Darley, there is so much world to see and it all looks better from the back of a horse...
