Grand Prix Mashup!

What do you get when you combine a girl with a Flip Mino HD, a guy with a penchant for mashup DJ tracks (this one is Steinski), and a Sunday afternoon at a horse show? A Grand Prix mashup, what else?!

For those who have been curious about the performance of the Flip, this video is another example of “straight out of the pocket” shots from the rail at an outdoor horse show. (On a rather grey day, I might add.)
For those who may have expected this year’s Country Classic Grand Prix, moved from the grass grand prix field to an all-weather jumper ring, to be less exciting, international course designer Linda Allen surprised with a creative use of course track and arena geometry. The arena perimeter was expanded to encompass the patron’s tent seating, with fences 9-10 of the Grand Prix course set as a line around the backside of the tent, creating a unique perspective for both spectators and the competition’s horses and riders.

Thanks, Selena! I think we all missed the big event on the Grand Prix field, but I loved how Linda Allen transformed the ring with her innovative course. Happy riding!

I was SO there…I was bummed that the Grand Prix ring was changed this past year, but I have to say the course design was awesome! Loved how they jumped around a spectator section–very cool. Big jumps and you were RIGHT THERE in all the action! Good times =)
BTW-love your website!
